Professor Weiru Chen
Dr. Weiru Chen is Professor of strategy at Alibaba Business School. Before joining Alibaba Business School, he was the chief strategy officer of Cainiao Network Technology Co., the logistics arm of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. He is also associate professor of strategy at CEIBS. He received his Ph.D. in strategic management at Purdue University in the US. He studies innovation strategy and organizational transformation. He received CEIBS Teaching Excellence Award in 2013, Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching at INSEAD in 2011, Outstanding Teacher of MBA Elective Courses at INSEAD in 2005 and the Best Teaching Award at Purdue University in 2003. Professor Chen published on the world’s leading academic journals including Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, and Research Policy.
In 2013, Professor Chen published a bestseller book on Platform Strategy (in Chinese), which provides a systematic analysis of world’s top 50 platform business. The book is awarded “Outstanding Book Prize” by The Beijing News, “Fengye Top 10 Books of the Year” and the “Most Popular Digital Publications Prize” by Blue Lion Publishing and Tencent Literature. In 2016, Professor Chen published another book on Platform Transformation (in Chinese), which provides a step-by-step framework for traditional business to incubate new platform business. In 2017, he is selected in the Thinkers50 Radar List as the “world management thinkers most likely to shape the future of how organizations are managed and led.”
Professor Yuan Li
Dr. Yuan Li is Distinguished Professor of Tongji University, and Dean of the School of Economics & Management, Vice-chairman member of Advisory Committee for Management Science & Engineering, Ministry of Education, vice chairman of China Management Science & Engineering Association, director of IACMR Consulting Committee, standing member of China Management Modernization Society, director of Technology & Innovation Management Committee, standing member of China Science & Technology Society, member of APJM (SSCI Journal) Editorial Advisory Board，member of Journal Enterprise Information Systems（SCI Journal）Editorial Advisory Board. Prof. Li had assumed the dean of School of Management, Xi’an Jiao Tong University, and Executive Dean of Antai College of Economics & Management.
In 1996, he has received the State Council special allowance. In 1999, Prof. Li gained the support from Yong Talents Program of the National Natural Science Foundation. He was selected as Shan Xi Third Five Talent in 2002 and Chang-Jiang Scholar Professor & Distinguished Professor awarded by Ministry of Education in 2005.
Since 2005, Prof. Li has published over 60 papers in international journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of management studies, Journal of operations management, ETP, MOR, etc. Prof. Li edited the Eleventh Five-year textbook of General Management. He has been awarded 10 provincial prizes including 2 first-class Science and Technology Award prize, 4 second-class Science and Technology Award prize, 1 provincial Science and Technology Progress Award prize, 1 second-class Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Education Award prize, 1 third-class Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Education Award prize, and 1 second-class Teaching Achievement Award prize. His foundation project was evaluated as Special Excellence. He completed 4 National Nature Science Foundation Programs, 2 National Soft Program. As one of the hosts, He completed European Asia-Link Program: ICM and he completed over 10 company projects. As a chief expert, Prof. Li is now a project leader for a Society & Science Major Program of MOE. And now he is taking charge of a key project of National Natural Science Foundation（NNSF） and a project of Community of Innovation Fund Project of NNSF, China.
Professor Rongping Mu
Dr. Mu is the CPC secretary-general of Institutes of Science and Development (ISD) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) , the director of the CAS Center for Innovation and Development since 2006, director of the CAS Center for IPR Research and Training since 2009, editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Science Research Management (an academic monthly) since 2003. He is the president of the China High-tech Industry Promotion Society (CHIPS), the president of the Chinese Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy Research. Besides, Dr. Mu is a member of Expert Consultation Commission of Beijing Municipal Government since 2011, a member of the Economic and Scientific Advisory Board of European Patent Office and International Advisory Board of the Thailand Government Office of S&T and Innovation since 2012. Dr. Mu has published more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals and some books concerning Technology Foresight, and Innovation Development, and drafted some policy documents concerning the National Innovation Policies and the 13th Five Year Plan for National Innovation Capacity-building. His research interests include S&T&I Policy, Foresight, R&D Management, and Industrial Competitiveness.
Lang, Chunhui
Ms. Chunhui Lang is a Partner at Sinovation Ventures. Sinovation Ventures is an established Chinese technology-savvy investment firm, started in 2009 by a team led by Dr. Kai-Fu Lee, with presence in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Seattle and Silicon Valley. The firm currently manages an estimated $2B AUM between six USD and RMB funds in total, and over 300 portfolio companies.
Ms. Lang holds an MBA from Peking University. She has more than 10 years of TMT industry investment and research experience, covering mobile Internet, e-commerce, etc., and clients served include Morgan Stanley, MIH, Warburg, WRH, China Mobile, China Telecommunications, Google, Microsoft, Intel, IBM, Tencent, Baidu and many other top investment companies in the TMT field. She has served as a project expert of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO, UK) and an investment manager of Fuhua Financial Holding.
She was ranked second as China’s top ten angel investors ranked in 2015. She was ranked second as China’s top ten early investors in 2016 and 2017 respectively. In 2018 she won Chinese Women’s Business Elite Award. She serves on the Board of Directors of Beijing University of Technology, and she is MBA interview officer for the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University. At Sinovation Ventures, she is responsible for investment in the area of Consumer Internet. Her recent investment and management activities involved over 50 companies such as Vivavideo,boxfish, Snaptube, Qiushibaike, TheOne smart piano, etc.

Life and Enterprise of the Future

Over 200 years ago, water and steam power were harnessed and mechanized production was introduced to the world, thus spawning the 1st Industrial Revolution.
A century later, the 2nd Industrial Revolution began as we harnessed the power of electricity to create mass production.
The 3rd Industrial Revolution came about during the 20th century when we used electronics and IT systems to further automate production.
Now, in the year 2019, we find ourselves in a unique position on the cusp of the 4th Industrial Revolution. This revolution will be characterized by a fusion of technologies that blur the lines between the physical, digital and biological spheres. According to experts, these technologies will affect not only industry but also corporate and government policy.

Paul Lee, Co-founder of Mind AI
Paul is a clinician, scientist, and entrepreneur. As a graduate of St Paul’s School and University of Oxford with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, he received an M.D. from The School of Medicine at Catholic University of Korea. Paul is also a graduate of Futuremed at Singularity University 2013 and Exponential Medicine 2014. As CEO & Cofounder of Curely and Kuddly, he grew the platform into one of the largest media channels in the US for the health and pet health industries with a viewership of over 6B. Toufi Saliba, Founder and CEO of Toda Network
Toufi Saliba is CEO, PrivacyShell and Chair of the ACM Practitioner Board Conference Committee. Toufi’s background is mainly in Machine Learning, Decentralized Governance, Distributed Computing, and Cryptography. He’s TODA’s protocol co-author. He has authored and co-authored several algorithms, protocols, and patents. Toufi’s companies have had several exits for software that he built from the ground up, some ended up at Google, HP and Intel. He sits on multiple Silicon Valley start-up boards, is the founder of the TodaQ Foundation and Chair of the ACM Practitioner Board Conference Committee. Currently, Toufi runs a start-up factory and InfoSec advisory called PrivacyShell Corp. PrivacyShell’s portfolio founders have an aggregate of over $27B in exits. Toufi’s #1 goal in life is enhancing technology to help achieve global prosperity while building profitable businesses and enablements from within.
